How The Leagues Finished: La Liga

There was a lot of drama in the 2013-14 La Liga regular season as the winner had to be determined in the very last game of the season. It looked as if Barcelona was never going to have a shot for the La Liga title, but they quickly climbed back in the race only to face Atletico Madrid in the final week of the season to determine the champion and as we all know Atletico Madrid won their 10TH title (first since 1996) with a draw with Barcelona. Real Madrid surprisingly finished the league in third to gran the last Champions League automatic bid while Athletic Bilbao win try to qualify in the Champions League playoff round. Sevilla, Villarreal, and Real Sociedad all earned Europa League spots while Osasuna, Valladolid, and Real Betis were all relegated to the second division.
